Zzzzzz...

I feel so lazy and sleepy today. Wish I could just stay home and laze around in my bedroom...

Aside from lazing around, I also wanna go shopping. But I dropped by Landmark earlier to check out some things and was horrified by the swarms of people. The lines at the cashiers were long... People everywhere... It was too crowded for the lazy me. I just bought what I needed and high-tailed it outta there.

I never really was too thrilled about the holiday rush. Maybe I'll drag The Memet to a shopping escapade next year - which is in just a couple of weeks. Hehe.

Didn't have anything to read on my way to work today. I already finished reading Imitation in Death (JD Robb) last night while waiting for The Memet and his friends to wrap up their little office party. I would've brought Innnocent in Death (JD Robb) with me today, but the hardbound book was too big. Sigh. So, yeah. I just realized that a hardbound book isn't the way to go if you're planning on lugging it around. Maybe it's fine if you have a car, but then again, how can you read while driving? LOL. A paperback is so much more convenient to tote around. But, I always have to be extra careful when I have a paperback in my bag. I don't like creases on my books. Hehe.

I want a looooong vacation. I so dislike the fact that we have scheduled trainings on Dec. 24th and Dec. 30th. Yeah. That means I'm in the office till Thursday this week. And next week, I'll be in the office from Monday to Wednesday. Huhu... Unfair.

Well, I guess I can continue to whine and complain and do whatever here right now, but I have to get back to work. Sigh. So lazy... I hope I don't fall asleep while monitoring calls. LOL. I don't like monitoring calls. It's so boring. I like training better. You can put me in a training room anytime. I'll be tired, sure. But I'll be happy and far from bored. Hehehe.

'Nuf said. Back to work. LOL.

RIP Brittany Murphy

I was shocked, utterly surprised when I found out earlier today that Brittany Murphy has passed away. In my mind, I was like 'No, she's too young... She still has so much ahead of her'. But, I guess it was really her time. Makes one think and reflect...

I remember her from Clueless (one of my favorite movies of all time) and Just Married (with Ashton Kutcher).

This has been some year. So many prominent figures passed away.

My deepest condolences to Ms. Murphy's family and friends.

The Memet Series: Home Alone

Just wanted to blog about this before I forget. =D

The other day, I was watching Home Alone in our office pantry during my lunch break. I just saw like 30 minutes of the movie, but I felt so nostalgic and for some reason, I wanted a copy. Hehe. So I texted The Memet and joked that I wanted a copy of parts 1 and 2 of Home Alone. He asked why and I said "Wala lang" ("No Reason"). Hehe. He didn't ask any more questions so I thought he dismissed it already. I was just joking anyway.

When I came home last night, I was surprised to find a DVD copy of Home Alone in our bedroom. I was even more surprised when The Memet mentioned that his "guy" was still looking for a DVD copy of Home Alone 2 (Lost in New York).

Spoiled wife much? LOL.

Wishlist!

I can't bear to think about work for another second, so I thought I'd blog for a few minutes instead. Hehehe.

First blog topic that came to mind while I was accessing Blogger was... making a wishlist! Hehe.

I'm not making one specifically just for the holidays (our religion doesn't celebrate Christmas), so this wishlist can also double as my advance birthday wishlist. My birthday's 3 months away, but... Who cares? Hahaha! I seriously doubt I'll get anything anyway. I'll still make a wishlist just for the fun of it. LOL.
Here goes!

Image Suorce: Ebuystore.com.ph

1. A new cellphone! My Nokia 6300 is already a little over 2 years old. The Memet and I bought it November of 2007. Hehe. It's rather old, but it's still in tip top shape. But I still want a new phone just for the heck of it. LOL!

2. An HP Mini! A pink one, no less! Hehe. I know I said that I think our desktop PC at home's just fine, but there are times when I've found the need to be online while I'm out and... well... Isn't it just cute? Hehehe... :p

3. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I already have a Nikon D40 and a Canon Powershot D10... But I still want the Samsung ES55 for some reason. Hahaha! I know I still want it because I always, always go back to ebuystore to just look at it and wish I had one. LOL!

4. I love my 1st gen Ipod Shuffle and it still works just fine... But a new, pink one would be nice. Plus, this one's smaller. Hehe.

5. I am such a geek. First, the little tech toys, and now, books! Hehe. I'm a busy gal, but I always find time to read Nora Roberts/JD Robb books - Usually while commuting to work. I just love a good crime/mystery/romance novel. Hehe. Actually, the bookshelf is also part of my wishlist. My collection of books is starting to grow and it would be nice if I had a nice shelf (like the one above) to display them in.

6. I am also a sucker for accessories. There goes the girl in me! Hehe. I love chunky bracelets and necklaces... I'm not much of an earring person and, I rarely wear cocktail rings now that I have my wedding ring. Hehe. But I sure love necklaces and bracelets!

7. Aside from accessories, I'm also a sucker for cute dresses. Buy me one? LOL. :p

8. And, of course... Shoes. Gotta have more shoes. Hehe. I love heels, but only for church, and occasionally for work. I'm eyeing a few pairs of flats that I'd like to buy once extra moolah's available. But if you want to give me a cute pair, you're more than welcome to! Hehe.

9. Ahh... Isn't this bag just gorgeous? It's a Gucci, so there's no way I can afford it. A knock-off maybe, but not the original. LOL. Actually it's been a while since I last bought a nice bag. Let me take that back... It's been a while since I last bought anything (aside from techs). I need a new bag... A nice office bag. Who wants to take me on a shopping spree? LOL.

10. And finally... The one special gift on my wishlist that only the Almighty One can give me and my hubby. A cute, adorable, cuddly baby. =) Well, ofcourse, there's no way our baby would have brown hair and blue eyes (but the baby in the picture is just so cute... lol)... The Memet and I will just continue praying. And while there's no baby yet, I'll keep dragging The Memet to local tourist destinations that I've been dying to visit. Hehehe.

Well, that's my wishlist. Nobody ever gives me anything on the wishlists that I make... But it's always fun making one. Maybe if I show this wishlist to The Memet, he'll get me one of the things on the list. Hehehe!
Oh well, that's all for now, I guess. Next post will be my New Year's Resolution. ;-) Do you already have yours?

Still Breathing

How's everyone holding up? =D

December is a very busy month for mostly everyone (Save for the ones who planned vacations for half the month). Everyone's busy shopping, completing their Christmas lists... Me? I'm busy working (Sigh) and haven't been getting much sleep because of our devotional prayers for our upcoming Thanksgiving in church.

Usual routine this month:
- Sleep at around 1am.
- Get up at 4am to prepare for the 5am devotional prayer.
- Go back to sleep around 5:30am.
- Wake up at 9:30am, fix orders.
- 10-11am, take a bath and get dressed for work.
- 11am, lunch.
- 11:30am, leave for work.
- 1pm, start day at the office.
- 10pm (if lucky), head home.

My sched's probably not as hectic compared to others, but I'm just uber tired. The back of my head's been throbbing more often lately, and the pain's starting to get sharper each time... Today though, there's no throbbing. Just a dull headache that won't go away. I think I need to schedule an appointment with a neurologist so that I can get a recommendation for a CT Scan or an MRI. This throbbing's starting to worry me...

After my friend's wedding this Saturday, I'm going to block my weekends. I prolly won't accept invites to any activities anymore for the rest of December. I need to rest. Both The Memet and I need to get some rest. He's also been very busy. We both lack sleep.

So... To those of you who've seen my Twitter/Facebook updates... NO, I'm not irritable because I'm pregnant. Hehe. I'm just stressed out. And since I'm stressed out, I most likely cannot get pregnant this month. Good luck.

Anyway, I hope I can get back to my regular 8-hour sleep routine next week. Hehehe. In the meantime, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, y'all!

The Memet Series: Emote, Emote

I'm feeling somewhat sentimental today. Hehe. I feel like it's been ages since our wedding (The D&D Wedding), when in fact we've only been married 10 months, 1 week, and 5 days. Hehehe. I can't say I'm still adjusting to the married life because fact is, I didn't really need to adjust much. I can adapt real quickly. Hehehe.

Anyway, I sorta miss the experience of getting married so I tried to view our onsite wedding slideshow (courtesy of Andre Photography)which I uploaded on to YouTube.

Whenever I try to play the slideshow, it keeps saying, "An error has occurred, please try again later". =( But I went ahead and got the embed code for it anyway. Hehehe. Hopefully it'll be up and running soon.

Here it is:

Hope you're able to view it. I really wanted to share the slideshow because it was one of the happiest days of my life. =)

From Coron, with Love

Sheesh. I feel like everyone's been hella busy since December came. I for one, know that my weekends for this month are fully booked. I've got events lined up, weddings to attend, church activities, work, work, work... Oh, and my little online business is kinda picking up which is a good thing of course. But my goodness... My weekends feel just about as busy as my work-week! I wish they could make changes to the "week". Instead of 7 days, it'd be nice if it was 10 days instead. 5-day workweek, and a 5-day weekend. Hahaha! That would be uber awesome. LOL.

Anyway, I was somehow able to upload our Coron pictures into my Multiply account. I tried to blog about it last Friday, but Blogger seemed to be down for some reason.

Here's a sneak peek at some of our pictures (taken using our Canon Powershot D10):

To view the rest of the pictures (along with some kwento), you can check out my Multiply Site. =D

That's all for now! =)

Me, Resurrected

Whew. I feel like I've been MIA from my blog for soooo long. Been uber busy with work then took off to Coron for a few days (Nov 28-Dec 1). =D I would've uploaded the pics from my cameras yesterday when we got back yesterday afternoon, but then I got a terrible, terrible headache after I woke up from a nap. Must've been my body's way of letting me know it's in denial - It's in denial to the fact that I'm back from my vacation. LOL!

Anyway, I just dropped by for a quick update. No pictures yet. I'm hoping to upload some of 'em by Saturday, but then Dan and I will be attending a 10am wedding in San Juan, so uploading pics is still questionable. Hehehe. Gosh... I wish I could take more time off from work. LOL.

So, here are my updates:

1. I hosted a debut last Sunday, Nov 22nd for my mom's friend's daughter. Hehe. The pictures are still in my camera. Sheesh, I never realized hosting an event like that was so tiring. My feet hurt so much after the party. Well, I guess that's a given after standing in high heels for about 5 hours. Good thing The Memet gave me a very nice massage afterwards. The pain was totally gone after he worked his miracle. =D

2. Was seriously busy at work last week trying to do some things in advance so that I won't have to be waist-deep in work when I got back from vacation. Hehe.

3. Nov. 26 (Thursday), was Thanksgiving in the US. I wasn't supposed to come in at all because our account had no phone support that day, but I still came in half day (1pm-5pm) just because I had to do stuff. Hehe. After work, The Memet and I met up halfway so we could go to Sta. Lucia to buy some last minute stuff for our trip. It was also sort of a mini-date because it's our anniversary as bf-gf. Hahaha!

4. Attended church in Manggahan at 6am, Saturday (Nov. 28).

5. Left the house at around 10am for NAIA (Terminal 3) for our 1:05pm flight to Busuanga.

6. Saw Cesar Montano and Katya Santos at NAIA Terminal 3 while we were roaming around. We got there too early for our flight. LOL. Oh, they weren't together. Cesar was going to Tagbilaran while Katya was going to Laoag. I was too shy to have my picture taken with either one. My mom in law and our ninang had their pic taken with Cesar though. Hehehe.

7. When we got to Busuanga Saturday afternoon (Nov 28), I realized that Sun Cellular had absolutely no signal there. No cell sites for Sun subscribers whatsoever. Hahaha! I was incomunicado for 4 days.

8. Coron was a very, very beautiful place. It's not yet developed. Tourism just started to boom last 2008, so there aren't that many resorts/hotels/inns. A lot of the lodges there were just homes converted to lodges. No fast food chains of any sort. Hehe. But the fishes were awesome! Really fresh and delish. I super enjoyed snorkeling. Will post a separate blog entry of our Coron activities. =) With pictures! :p

9. Back to work today. Sigh. But that's reality. Hehe.

Well, that's about it. Before I get back to work, I'm off to Starbucks for a quick break. Need fuel so I can function properly. Hehehe.

Toodles!
