Vigan: Cafe Leona

By Friday, July 05, 2013 ,

Cafe Leona is an unassuming hole in the wall restaurant at the far end of Calle Crisologo. We wouldn't have stumbled upon it had we not decided to walk back to our hotel. If you wanna spot it right away, it's just a couple of steps away from Max's. ;-)

The place looks really old from the outside. Well, it's the case for practically all the buildings in Vigan. The old world, Spanish Era look still thrives here in terms of architecture. And as a whole, it's a serious wonder to behold.

The inside of the place is really simple. Kinda dingy, but it adds to the feel of the restaurant. Haha!

The Memet and I ordered their soup of the day (huge serving alert!), Vigan longganisa rice, bagnet, and some calamares. Overall, our meal cost roughly around P700 if I'm not mistaken. Not bad at all!

Their waiters were hospitable and attentive. Food portions were good for sharing. Taste and quality? Okay, but not too exeptional. But you know what? It's a place worth visiting. Even just for the experience. Hehe!

Here are the details on their menu in case you wanna go looking for Cafe Leona in Vigan. :)
