Lunch at Muvela's Place in Cainta

By Friday, January 30, 2015 , ,

I've been wanting to try dining at Muvela's Place for quite some time now, so when The Memet's birthday came around, I grabbed the opportunity to drag my family there. Haha!

We went there for lunch on a Sunday and surprisingly, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. Well, the pool was occupied, but the dining area was empty except for us.

After we placed our orders, I went to walk around and to take some pictures. The place was very cozy and looked perfect for chilling out.

Muvela's is actually a resto-bar. They have this cute little corner where they serve up drinks at night. Folks who live within the vicinity (inside the subdivision) don't have to worry about driving home drunk anymore! Haha!

They also have KTV rooms that you can rent for special occasions or if you just feel like singing your heart out with a few friends.

Not long after I finished taking photos, our food started to arrive. We were all famished, so everyone dug in as soon as the food was served. Here's what we had:

Someone made a dent in the rice even before I got to take a photo. Haha!
Nido Soup (P165)

The soup was served in a huge bowl. It's supposed to be good for 3-4 persons, but the 6 of us couldn't finish all of it.

Chopsuey Special (195)

I couldn't eat the Chopsuey because it had shrimp in it, but the ones who got to eat it said that it was pretty tasty. One comment though was that it would've been nice if the veggies weren't slightly overcooked.

Lumot with Cheese (P185)

Lumot is a kind of squid. I'm not sure exactly what kind, but yeah, what's important is that it's squid. Haha! It's Muvela's version of a stuffed squid plus cheese, and it's a nice variation to the regular grilled squid or the calamares.

Buttered Chicken (P210)

This one was my absolute favorite. It was crunchy yet tender, and super tasty. No one noticed the dip until almost all the chicken was gone. Haha!

Overall, I enjoyed our lunch at Muvela's. It was fun dining al fresco amidst the greenery. We didn't need to worry about mosquitoes either, because the waiter was nice enough to provide us with two electric fans when I asked if there were mosquitoes. Hehe! (I swear, those little suckers know whenever I have even just an inch of exposed skin.)

Would I come back to Muvela's Place? Yep. And not just for the Buttered Chicken. Haha! I want to try their Cheesy Dynamite too and a few other promising dishes on their menu. I'm thinking I'll drag my friends for a meal there on my birthday.

Now, I know Valentine's is coming up in a couple of weeks. If you haven't made any plans yet with your special someone, you might want to consider Muvela's for that special evening. If you live in the vicinity, it's actually a good idea to make reservations at Muvela's because you'd be able to avoid all that horrible traffic. Hehe!

If you're single, don't fret. They have Family and Barkada packages too!
