Baler | Gerry Shan's Eat-All-You-Can
Along Quezon St. in Baler's Barangay 2, The Memet and I found a small, unassuming restaurant. From the outside, it didn't look like much. But we were quite amazed at what we found when we set foot inside the place.
Gerry Shan's Place is nothing fancy. But what it lacks in fancy-ness, it makes up for in the variety of food that they serve. They have A LOT of options that you can choose from.
First thing we did when we got there was pay the per head charge of P199. After we paid, we were given our plates and then we headed for the long buffet table.
The Memet couldn't get over their crispy calamares, while I absolutely loved my crispy chicken ,which looked deceptively similar to the calamares for some reason. Haha!
The Memet and I were given a tall tower of iced tea and I seriously wondered how we were going to finish all of it. I mean, it was a lot for two persons.
Aside from the iced tea tower that they serve you at your table, you can also check out the other drinks available at the end of the buffet table.
There's no way you're going to leave Gerry Shan's dehydrated. Hahaha!
They also have a small selection of desserts beside the cashier. Sorry, it was a bit crowded already when it was finally time for our dessert, so I wasn't able to take a photo anymore. But do try their leche flan. It was pretty good. I even asked The Memet to get me another serving. Hehe!
For P199 per head, I'd say our lunch was quite a steal. When you go there though, be sure to secure your seats first. You might find yourself in a struggle especially when the lunch crowd starts to pile in. Haha! And don't be shy to share a table with other folks. Most the people there were really nice.
